Less then seven hours to go to write 12+ pages not including 3 pages of stock info, an intro, cover, and sources.   Shit.

Great Day for Music

April 22, 2008

Those of you who know me best know it takes a lot out of me waiting for a new CD to come out.  I’m lucky if a band I’m interested in has one CD come out in a month.  HOWEVER, today, April 22nd, brings three CDs to the table.  I’ve listened to all three of them over and over again for a few weeks now and I gotta tell ya, two of the three are amazing.

1.  Goldfinger – Hello Destiny
My favorite band and the style of music I grew up listening to.  It’s not as great as their first three full lengths, but it is better than their last two.  Check it out – it’s a great summer CD.

2.  Story of the Year – The Black Swan
Another great band that had an amazing first CD and a shitty follow up.  However, this time they teamed up with John Feldmann (of Goldfinger glory) again and have put together some great new songs.  I’m very happy.  P.S.  Great for the gym.

3.  Ashlee Simpson – Bittersweet World
I know what you’re thinking, Ashlee has no talent.  I’d argue against that for her first two CDs, but this third one sucks.  End of story.  Maybe I’ll like it in a few weeks – doubt it.

Wiki2 Page of the Day

April 21, 2008

Sometimes I like to troll through the hundreds of pages on Wikipedia2.org (my baby,) and reflect on the past. I forgot about this page and it made me laugh when I saw what my buddy wrote about me. So, for Monday, I point you to the user profile of 420 Blue.

Clam Jam

April 19, 2008

I realized a few things at this year’s BOP Sponsored Clam Jam.

  1. It’s much more fun to drink outside instead of inside.  It helps when you’re in a pen and everyone who is legit not 21 or older have to wait outside and watch you have fun.  It’s good to be old.
  2. My ideal job for any time after graduation:  The Budweiser beer guy who drove the truck to PC and for, mmmm, about 10 hours, only had to worry about replacing the empty kegs with full kegs.  Even at full capacity, he didn’t really do anything more then change one keg every 40 minutes.
  3. I love summer and I love outside.

Also, in case anyone cares, I’m officially done with weekend duties.  That’s pretty amazing.  I think I have one or so during finals week, but that doesn’t count because I get to do it from my room, by myself, until 12:00 instead of 2:30.

Lastly – For those of you who have been coming to PC Idol, thank you.  The finals are this upcoming Friday at 8PM in ‘64 Hall.  The key difference about this round from the others?  Ricky is not co-hosting; I am.  Get ready for me to embarrass myself in a whole new way.
